Mayor and City Council
Like most cities in Oregon, the City of Lakeside utilizes the “Council-Manager” form of government. Under this system, the City Council sets policies which are then implemented by the City Manager who is selected and serves at the pleasure of the Council.
James Edwards
First elected Mayor in 2018 after serving on the Lakeside Planning Commission and as a Councilor on the Ctiy Council.
A long time resident of Lakeside and surrounding area.
Shauleen Higgins
The longest serving member of the Council. Re elected in 2018 to serve a 4 year term.
Alan Pointer - Council President
Councilor Pointer was elected in 2018 to a 4 year term after being appointed the previous August.
Tom Miller
Councilor Miller was elected in 2020 to a 4 year term after being appointed early in 2019 .
Councilor Ken Ireland
Elected November 2020 to a 4 year term
Councilor Don Nuss
Elected November 2020 to a 4 year term
Councilor Ted Watson
Appointed to fill term ending in 2023
